Taxes and duties on goods imported from China
Customs duty, excise duty, VAT and other levies — and how they stack.
The main charges on imports into Nepal are customs duty (set by HS code), excise duty on specific goods, and value added tax at 13%. VAT is calculated on the customs value plus duty and excise.
Other levies such as advance income tax or infrastructure fees may apply depending on the goods and the current Finance Act. We show each charge separately in your landed-cost quote.
